Slippery twirl

A small skating rink has been constructed on The Regent (Esplanade) hotel's terrace, much to everyone's enjoyment. There's cooked wine, cheesecakes, more cooked wine and if you had any doubts, even more cooked wine :). It was fun watching kids and grown-ups skate, twirl, fall while we were sipping very good cooked wine:

Emerald ballroom ceiling

I attended a regional BI (business intelligence) conference at the Regent Esplanade hotel yesterday. All presentations were held in a so-called Emerald ballroom, which is called like that, I'm guessing, because of its oval shape. In addition to glorious marble columns and golden mirror frames, the central ceiling piece is tainted glass:
