Bonus trip photo: Heavenly path, covered with saffron flowers, some 50m further down the path from where I took this month's theme day photo:
Photo a day from Zagreb, Croatia, though, there might be random photos from around Croatia if I find myself out of the city...
Lake Jarun looks lovely and it is wonderful that it is not all that far away to your holiday house. I am amazed that this area is not covered with snow. Also, that the saffron flowers seem to be growing straight from the soil rather than on a little branch.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful...a great path to walk, run or bike? Those bending trees remind me of how the palm trees on our beaches are bent (permanently) by the winds...
ReplyDelete@Julie - our holiday house is on the island of Pag, some 3hrs drive from Zagreb, with Mediterranean climate (it snows 0.5in every 10 years... maybe). Lake Jarun is in Zagreb which has continental climate (hot summers, cold/snowy winters). Luckily, the snow is gone from Zagreb, finally! :) I have to admit this is the first time I've seen saffrons. It took one book, both parents and google to realize what they are :-).
ReplyDelete@Jacob - errr, just a small part of it is for walking & biking, otherwise it's quite an adventure to walk on it (very narrow, huge rocks to walk over, on the verge of cliffs (not high, but high enough for one to break their necks...).
Very nice, very blue, but I'll bet very cold!
ReplyDelete@pachez77 - thanks! And nope, it was a very warm day - around 18C (65F)...
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful landscape Mirela.
