@Steffe - not unless there's rowing competition... but then again, that happens almost every weekend during the summer...
@Leif - the lake freezes, but skating is prohibited... though each year there's a nut or two who decide to show off their manliness by skating on it and usually end up dead...... There's no reason to skate on the lake, we have several ice rinks in the city open from October to March for skating (open air and closed).
