Photo a day from Zagreb, Croatia, though, there might be random photos from around Croatia if I find myself out of the city...
Fresh indeed - nothing like a fresh young man in uniform!
ReplyDeleteI love the intensity of the light here, Mirela. The shadows are so clear cut. I like the cobblestones throughout Europe. Here in Australia we do have bricks but mostly we have bitumen or concrete. Not attractive ...
never would have guessed it was so hot by the looks of this group.
ReplyDeletebtw, enjoying the time machine series
@ Julie - LOL, I agree , though knight's uniform isn't my thing (too many layers ;-)). This whole area was renovated this year... it was being renovated for at least 15 years, but they finally finished a few months ago and removed the scafolding. Now there are more and more locals who go around exploring and enjoying the new Old town.
ReplyDelete@ Jaca - I didn't crop out a bare arm to the right in the photo (a person one of the "knights" was talking to)... it's amazing how well they were handling it. Not sure that will be the case this weekend (the forecast is ~40C)
Yep, they look very fresh. I suppose they would look too good to be alive in the time period when the people actually wore costumes like this.
ReplyDeleteYou can look at the different birds in the side bar. That will tell you how many different kinds are here. There are 141 posts. Some are the same bird, like "sparrows" or titmouse. So I would guess there are over 100 here.
@ Abe - wow, I was right when I said it was bird watcher's paradise! I haven't thought of the hygiene point... I guess they do take showers too often to be truly representative of that period, but I'm also sure tourist and locals alike are thankful for that :-)))))
ReplyDeleteThey look wonderful! Photo full of atmosphere! Thanks! And I also see the beautiful entrance to the church!
ReplyDeleteI bet that could be a good way to lose some extra weight from parties :P
ReplyDeleteTime warp! I really feel like I stepped into the medieval ages. Fantastic!
